In Norwich

I went on Honeymoon with Laura & John. I wasn't allowed out much, but this is me holding my wedding hat.

It was a lovely room.

Home...

We're on our way home now in the taxi. Soon we'll be back to see Alex and Laura which will be great even if it means I get washed! (eurgh). Lots of traffic though. Here's a pic of me seeing the first ever boston Africa festival! We heard a Boston senator speak. He got us to say "we are all African people" which is true really for all the people, and giraffes too!

iPad

Apparently iPads aren't made for giraffes. The touch didn't work. The apple store was very nice though.

Penguins!

The Boston T has pictures of penguins from the aquarium! Some of them are very naughty.

Books!

It's a very good bookshop and has free wifi, so I can blog! Also it's air conditioned, which is good because I was getting sweaty behind the ears.

Only a day until we get back to Laura and Alex!

Harvard Square

It's all very exciting, we're in the Harvard Square coop bookshop snacking!

Checking out!

We're off for fun & frolics I'm Boston and them home to see Laura! Here's me with the reception bear!

Present!

I've not been out of the hotel room a lot - John's been working - but he promises adventures at the weekend! I have got a present for Laura though. Luckily it was half price, and giraffes can afford things that are half price.

Houghton Mill

Today I'm at a mill to see how flour is made.

It's raining, but the swans are happy!

Bird Watching

I'm in a hide on the fens looking at important birds. They had orange
legs & long beaks.

Oranges...

... As big as my head!!!

Bees Working

Here's the hive where the bees go to work. I'm in Peckover House,
Wisbech.

Blog Jacking!

Alex is back taking over Melmans blog while he's in America. Maybe
he'll post too? Anyway. Yesterday I saw Bees do Work!

Colonial Inn

Here I am at Concord's famous Colonial Inn! The war of independence broke out just around the corner. It dates back to 1716 and it's creaky but fun!

Aeroplane!

Very exciting! That's it there.

Now why didn't that work?

At the airport!

I'm off to Boston! I just met a very friendly 6ft tall Harrods door bear in the departure lounge.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh

I became even more cultured in Glasgow, although I also got a little bit damp.

Anyway, this is the "House For An Art Lover". I think I love Art. I
do love being in the warm and dry more, though.

Staying Dry

It was very wet in Glasgow, but I helped the Humans to stay dry.

This is Me

Some people have suggested that I am "just a puppet". Well, that
really upset me, so here's a picture to prove that I'm not. John took
this picture and Laura was nowhere around... so how is it that I'm
playing on this table?!

I couldn't do that if I was "just a puppet".

Humph.

Glasgow Science Centre

Look! I'm a deep sea diver. I am SO multi-talented...

Sight Seeing Bear

I met a bear on Red Sightseeing Bus. He belonged to the lady who was
guiding us around Glasgow.

Chomp!

Roaming through the undergrowth in Edinburgh! I've not posted from
Laura's Picasa before, so I don't know if this will work...

Scotland Street School

Today I was taken for tea at a branch of the Willow Tea Rooms. The
Empire Biscuits were excellent and it's probably just as well I can't
eat them in England. I'd be the size of Gloria and my humans wouldn't
be able to carry me.

X

Ps: John thinks he's SO funny. :(

Me and My Humans

I was taken on an open top bus in Glasgow. I think this is the first
photo I have of me with both my humans.

I'd just met a very friendly bear, and I'm very excited.

Camera Obscura

Gosh! I've been so busy that I've been forgetting to update my Blog!

This is the roof of the Camera Obscura. They take you into a dark room
and make you hit traffic wardens. I don't really understand how it
works. :(

I had my shadow picture taken as well, but that's on Laura's camera so
I'll show you that later.

My Bones

Today I was measured against a giraffes leg. It was taller, which is
strange...

Fountain

This is the fountain in the big garden in Edinburgh. I wasn't allowed
to go for a swim. I just waved at a little girl, I think I confused
her, but she did wave back. :)

*giggle*

I think Amanda is cute! I watched Britains Got Talent last night. :)

Parliment & Dynamic Earth

Here I am outside Dynamic Earth looking at Scottish Parliment. The
weather is beautiful and we aren't going into Dynamic Earth cos it
costs too much and there are no discounts for giraffes.

Castle

At the Cafe in Edinburgh Castle.

Stickered!

I have a Robin Hood sticker that let's me go into the castle and see
the props from the latest movie.

Tea at the Castle

On Sunday I had afternoon tea at Nottingham Castle.

And a muffin!

Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem

I'm too young to drink beer, but Laura took this picture of me at the
Oldest Inn in England.

Robin Hood

On Saturday I met Robin of Sherwood outside Nottingham Castle.

He let me hold his sword!

Sue Loves Me!

Look!

Sue has made a layout all about meeting me. Isn't that wonderful?

I don't think she's bonkers at all. I think she's very sensible
indeed. Loved the tickling. :)

Risby Barns

In the cafe at Risby Barns they have a photo of one of my relatives.

Van Gogh

Meeting Vincent!!!

X

Day out!!!

Not as exciting as what my friend Curly will be doing soon, but still,
they remembered to take me out!

We went to London this afternoon to look at Vincent van Gogh's art and
letters at the Royal Academy. John is a Friend, so we just walked in!

The pictures were very pretty, but it was very crowded. Not the best
place for midget giraffes like me, so I stayed in Laura's bag.

Afterwards they took me to see Liberty's, which is where Laura took
Alex when I was in America. Then we went to dinner in a pub and there
was beer!

On the train home a Student Vet was handing out chocolate. I wonder if
he could've vetted me if I was sick? Doubt he's dealt with giraffes! :)

Love Melman

I mustn't forget that I also met Lulu, but I don't know who was more startled!

Even More Friends!

Some of the Ladies brought along their toys. You've already met Curly in an earlier post (and if you aren't Following her, then you should be!), but there is also a picture of me with Sue's bear Fuzz and Jo with her bear. I'm sorry that I can't remember Bears name. :(
